If you want to remove html in no time, first open notepad and then copy the word from MS-WORD and paste it in notepad. Copy the words from there and paste in Wordpess dashboard. All html will be automatically removed.

I generally use MS Word and in-built proof reading tool provided by Jetpack (WordPress plugin). MS Word lets me correct my grammatical mistakes and spelling errors. The tool provided by Jetpack helps me in double checking grammar and spelling errors.
All of these tools are very new to me. I will definitely try some of them.
