I am personally using Grammarly plagiarism checker. Although it is paid tool but worth using.

Just to let you know, you can also use Grammarly for free as a Grammar checker, punctuation checker and online proofreading tool.

      Thanks for your comment 🙂

    Hi Ankit,

Thanks for the list, this comes in real handy at the moment. I’m currently outsourcing lots of content, and although most of the sites and tools assure you that they run everything through Copyscape to make sure it was original content, I’ve found that this is not always the case…

So better be safe than sorry! 😉

    1. Ankit Singla says:

you’re always welcome Alain and thank you for visiting

  11. Great list though my favorite is smallseotools and its also free. I have also used a couple of the tools here.

  12. Amazing lists! I already tried most of the lists, but somehow it gives me a headache……. I really don’t know why, but I guess I hate the fact that I thought most of my contents are original and unique. I just found out that they are not :(. Oh well, some of the lists really taught me a lot of things…..

  13. smita sharma says:

Interesting thoughts…I do rely on copyscape somewhat because I simply don’t have time to manually check articles. How would you check in the protected areas or in torrents anyway? I would think it would be basically impossible to check an article for plagiarism with the breadth of the internet these days…

How do you know that your writers are not plagiarizing? What sort of checking processes do you use?

    1. Ankit Singla says:

hi smita. paid plagiarism checkers usually offer services far better than free plagiarism checkers such as deeper search. i am not sure though if it can check protected areas or torrents since i have not tried any paid plagiarism checker such as Turnitin

hmm. this gave me an idea for another article. i am now aiming to research about the services that offered by paid plagiarism programs

  14. Hi Ankit Singla,

Thanks for sharing this amazing information. I knew about Copyscape but I did not have idea about other plagiarism tool. thanks once again.
I just want to ask, Is there any wordpress plugin which could alert you if your content is being used by someone else ?

    1. Ankit Singla says:

      hi viniyesh
i think this link will answer your question wordpress.org/plugins/plagiarism/
i have not tried it yet though but it has 3.7 out of 5 stars. so i think it is effective so far.

Ankit, it’s a very good tip post!

Plagiarism is a problem that bloggers should always care about.

I’ve recently passed through this situation and I asked Google for help. I was luck that the plagiarism was at a blogger site and Google could remove it fast.

By the way, I prefer Copyscape.com because it’s free and we only need to enter the post url.

    Bye!

    1. Ankit Singla says:

hi bruno. yep bloggers mostly prefer copyscape. but in my case as a freelance writer my articles are not posted in websites but they are in MS word files. so i need other kinds of tools aside from copyscape

There is no doubt that duplicate content is dangerous to a website or blog. Copyscape, Siteliner and Grammarly are great tools that I have used till now. I never used dustball.com, so I should thank you for introducing myself with this site.

  27. GAURAV kUMAR says:

I am satisfied with copyscape and grammerly results , but smallseotools never impressed me much. Still it is always good to keep checking content for copyright.

  28. It is really sad when i see that people copy content even today. I appreciate the sites you have shared here. I also use copyscape and siteliner to find copy content.

  29. I still think that unplag.com is the best plagiarism checker.

The check speed is one of the best among others. And it’s simple to use. For me it’s important

    Hi Ankit Bro

thanks for this nice and useful article. I just have a question about Small SEO tools Plagiarism Checker. Is it trustful?

    Hi Ankit!
I think SmallSEOTools is best tool to find out duplicate content.
Thanks to sharing such a great list including best plagiarism checker tools.
    Keep writing!

  32. Thank you very much for the review. I am really against the free plagiarism checkers as I think they are stealing people’s documents. The checker that I use is http:plagiarismdetection.org It suits me well as I do my regular plagiarism checks with it with no problem.

  33. Hi Ankit,

I’m trying to decide between Grammarly and Copyscape. As you recommend I’m leaning toward Grammarly but I also need the feature of knowing when somebody’s stealing content from my website or one of my client’ss websites.

Neither Grammarly or Copyscape have a customer service phone or chat to get questions answered. Because you use Grammarly you know if it has the aforementioned feature.

Thanks for a great and valuable article!
    John
