Thanks for commenting Arif. Instead of commenting what is not there I would have loved to read what tools you know and use.

  3. Nice post! I’ve been looking for an easy-to-use tool to get rid of the inactive Twitter followers – awesome to have them compared and analyzed like this!

  4. Hi Ankit,

You listed almost all of the top tools, although I think its now time to update your list Tweepi and Manageflitter should be at the top and I am not sure but I am experiencing tweetadder as if its not working now, I haven’t researched yet but I think so, between let me know if you anything about it.

Tweepi is a great tool, easy to use fast and time-saving because one can bulk unfollow users using it’s browser add-on “Tweepi Bulk Default Action”, also there is one cons about it, that if you have followers more than 60K its not free.

Manageflitter, awesome tools, pros option to unfollow users even in free account like unfollow “Non English users, who’s not follow you back, followers with no profile image, spammers, etc

Cons it takes time to load if you’ve lots of tweets followers and following in free account. like tweepi I don’t know its limit for twitter handle with lots of followers but I have 100K+ followers on twitter and its still letting me use the tool for free.

    Nice post.

    Thank you : )

  5. Hi Ankit 🙂

Good to see your post, and that too an informative one, Ankit 🙂

Yes, we need to be careful about who we follow back on Twitter because of the limit there, and I think it makes sense too, or else each one would have a huge following to keep up with.

Speaking of myself, I do take care to check out each of the profiles before I follow back. Also, the few followers I’ve on my profile are the ones who’ve followed me first, so the choice is always in my hand to follow back or not, thus the numbers can be kept in control this way – rather than following back ALL those who follow you.

I’ve heard of most of the tools you mentioned, though have found Tweepi pretty quick and easy to use. Have yet to try some, though I think using any one is alright, if it suits the purpose of unfollowing the unfollowers mainly, isn’t it?

Thanks for sharing it with us as the ABC, Ankit. Happy weekend 🙂

  6. Hi Ankit,

    Interesting post, indeed! 🙂

I don’t even have an idea that there are tools to unfollow our non-follower. There is no tool I’ve ever used with. This is the first time I heard them, and this is an interesting idea.

Yes, I agree with you. I cannot be careless in following people. I chose carefully in this matter. 🙂

Thanks for sharing this with us, Ankit.
    Have a great weekend!

  7. Hi Ankit

Very informative post bringing the awareness to the tools that are available to un-follow non-followers. I gained a lot of knowledge here. I joined Twitter in 2012 and deleted my account in 2014 due to some spam issues that I was not initially aware of. I believe the spam issues came as a result of the very points you made in this post with following back some accounts with no profile pic, with the egg default gravatar or that were not credible etc. Was a huge lesson and I was not aware of the 2000 limit

I re-opened my new account in April this year and I am really more careful this time around. I am currently not using any un-follow tools [as yet] so thanks for sharing this post that I could make my selection from.

    Hi Ankit,

This is a great post for maintaining your twitter account. I must say that you have shared great management tools. Recently I also discovered the tool that can help you auto-manage your blog Tweet. I mean marketing on twitter and making it spam free is becoming easy nowadays.

Thank You for this Post! Keep them coming.

    Best Regards,

Tweepi is great Ankit. I have been using it for some time now. It also provided many other features like following the followers/friends of a certain individual. The pro version has extra features. I am really happy with this tool.

  10. Hey Ankit, thanks for the post. I am a regular user of Audiense Connect and I was not aware of the others tools available. I am planning to try those too.

  11. Hey Ankit,

Thank you for the Twitter Unfollow Tools roundup,

Audiense Connect is great – it is easy to use, loads quickly, and pretty much does everything that is required from an unfollow tool.

From the other tools that you have mentioned – SocialBee is good and so is Circleboom. However, one just needs a single tool and I guess SocialBee is the better alternative.

  12. I was unknown about this strategy and now with the help of this blog I came to knew and thank you for the post. I am a regular user of SocialBee and I was not aware of the other tools available. I am planning to try those too.

  13. Hey Ankit,

Thanks for listing down tools for people who want to unfollow non-followers on Twitter.

I personally use SocialBee almost daily and so glad to see it is on your list.

    Keep it up!

    1. Hey Rahul,

Couldn’t agree more. SocialBee is definitely one of the best Twitter unfollow tools. Glad to know that are using it. 🙂

  14. Ann Sterzinger says:

Will any of these just automatically delete all your nonfollowers at once? I don’t want to do it manually.

  15. Thank you very much for your blog post. I tried circleboom, and it is amazing and handy. Even it is the most affordable one. Great post. Thanks again

  16. Circleboom is one of best twitter tool to analyze followers and unfollow profiles.

  17. You don’t think this is a problem when using an app: This application will be able to:

    Read Tweets from your timeline.
See who you follow, and follow new people.
    Update your profile.
    Post Tweets for you.
    See your email address.

  18. Hi,
I am new in social media marketing. This post helps me a lot. Thank you. Great article with a lot of useful information…..

  19. It is up to date blog post. I’ve used manageflitter, but just tried circleboom, it is pretty handy with reasoable price. Thanks for your share.

  20. Thanks a lot for sharing this info.
I was looking for a tool to manage my twitter account and Circleboom is awesome!

  21. Rick Barlow says:

Looks like Twitter has blocked Crowdfire. I used to enjoy it. Not good. Now I’ll be moving to Audiense connect and glad it offers a lot more than just the unfollow feature.

  22. A lot of the apps you listed no longer support unfollowing, and have not for some time.

In fact, the only one that I know that still does is Circleboom, and it is for about $6 a month.

Perhaps you should update this with apps that still allow for unfollowing…Especially some free apps that do this.

  23. Thanks, Ankit for sharing this list of tools to unfollow inactive Twitter followers. I was using Crowdfire but recently Twitter disabled their API access.

As per your suggestion, I’m going to try Audiense connect and socialbee. I’d let you know which I stick to.

  24. Thanks Ankit! I’ve been looking for easy-to-use free tools to get rid of my non-followers and my inactive Twitter followers – What awesome tools to have them compared and analyzed like this! Ive signed up for several, will weed them out as I use them and decide.

  25. Thanks for the list – I’m actually looking for a new option because as of Jan 2019 Manage Flitter no longer offers f/uf services. You might want to update the post for 2020 as the title suggests. Thanks!

  26. I’m a little confused by your saying you can not follow more than 5000 people. I have 15,000+ followers & I’m following almost every one of those back. Please be more in-depth as to what you are referring to b/c as I’m reading, it makes no sense.

  27. Looking to restart my twitter engagement and need a tool to unfollow. Not seeing this in Crowdfire. It mentions being able to unfollow 25 but can’t find it anywhere.

  28. Hi Ankit!

Thanks for sharing these 5 tools with us, and providing us such an valuable article, after reading this I understood the value of each follower that an account can have and unfollowing to them those who don’t follow us.
