9 Best Digital Products to Sell as a Blogger [All Profitable]
by Ankit Singla
Don’t know what digital products to sell?
Look no further.
These are the top 9 digital product ideas that will help you make money with your blog.
Let’s get started.
9 Best Digital Products to Sell
1. Printables
Quick question:
Are you truly determined to help change your audience’s lives through your blog?
Then you should try creating and selling printables.
They’re one of the most popular types of digital products that many bloggers sell online.
What is a printable?
As the name suggests, printables are digital items meant to be printed and used off the web. It can be a lesson plan, workbook, planner, meal plan, calendar, and so on.
I have proven the profitability of printables myself with my own printable digital product – The Content Ideas Flashcards.
2. eBooks
Creating your very own eBook is a great way to cement your authority in your space.
It shows the world that you really know your stuff. More importantly, eBooks can be sold as standalone products you can sell for a nice chunk of change.
What is an eBook?
An eBook, short for electronic book, is a digital publication that’s usually published in PDF or ePUB form. It can be a short story, recipe book, ultimate guide, or anything valuable that contains text, images, or both.
eBooks are generally more comprehensive and valuable than blog posts even if they focus on the same topic.
You can sell eBooks through platforms like Amazon or set up your own store page on Gumroad.
Here is an example of my Gumroad store and my ebook.
3. Online courses
What’s even better than an eBook?
I’ll tell you what: online courses.
They’re definitely among the best digital products to sell online as a blogger.
Truth be told, it takes an insane amount of work to create a course that your audience will really appreciate.
But if you pull it off, it will definitely boost your authority and foster loyalty among your audience.
What is an online course?
Online courses are a collection of classes that are distributed via the internet. They allow students to learn at their own pace and access course materials from any place with an internet connection.
A well-made online course includes videos, graded tests, articles, and downloadable content that augment the learning experience.
One of my favorite online courses of all time would be Six-Figure Blogger by Alex Nerney. It’s about making six figures with your blog through digital products and services.
4. Challenges
An online challenge is a whole different ball game from an online course.
It takes away the self-paced learning aspect of online courses and introduces urgency through success conditions.
For example, participants may be required to complete the challenge within a specified timeframe. They may also be required to perform at a certain level in a test or assignment.
If there’s one online challenge I think everyone should look at, it would be The One Funnel Away Challenge.
I suggest you try to, at least, learn what The OFA Challenge offers participants. This will give you an idea of how online challenges are done.
Looks fun, right?
However, it’s worth mentioning that creating online challenges takes tremendous preparation and promotion.
Remember, everything in the challenge must be right on the money in terms of quality and execution. You need to prepare a schedule in advance while also making sure enough people will get on board.
5. Templates
Teaching people what to do is one thing.
Giving something that people can easily copy is another.
That’s the beauty of digital templates.
They’re digital products that sell the convenience of having some of your work done for you in advance.
If you are fully in tune with your audience’s goals, you can create and sell templates that will springboard their success.
What is a template?
A template works by giving users a basic starting point for something they need. It is a catch-all term for stuff like email templates, web page templates, graphic design templates, and so on.
Deciding the type of template to sell depends on your blog audience.
For example, Kara Fidd of Simplifying DIY Design caters to DIY graphic designers. As such, she sells Canva templates that her customers can easily customize and use for themselves.
If web page design is your thing, you can try your hands at creating premium Elementor templates.
You can then sell your premium templates through marketplaces like ThemeForest.
Other than Canva and Elementor templates, you can also focus on creating something easier like document templates.
Resume templates, for instance, do well on marketplaces like Creative Market.
Still need more ideas?
Here’s a list of other template types you can create and sell:
- Google Slides
- PowerPoint presentations
- Pinterest pins
- Emails
- Cover Letters
6. Original graphics
As visual content grows more and more popular, the demand for stock graphics continues to increase.
A popular graphic format would be vectors, which can be easily modified and incorporated into an original design. They are typically used in drag-and-drop tools like Canva, making them useful even for non-designers.
If you’re a skilled graphic designer, you can make money with your blog by selling vectors.
What is a vector?
In simple terms, vectors are images composed of lines, points, curves, and shapes. They are created with vector illustration programs like Corel Draw and Adobe Illustrator.
You can sell vectors and digital illustrations across several marketplaces on the web.
Adobe Stock is a particularly popular platform – thanks to its seamless integration with the Creative Cloud Libraries.
Of course, you can always sell your digital illustrations on your own digital storefront.
Selling digital patterns
Another type of graphic you can sell would be digital sewing patterns.
These usually come as a downloadable PDF, which comes with the actual pattern and some instructions.
They are, of course, niche products that don’t work for everyone. But if you’re in the fashion, creative crafts, or sewing niche, then creating patterns is a great source of income.
You can sell patterns on your website or through marketplaces like Etsy.
7. Original photographs
Have an eye for photography?
There may be companies, marketers, and other bloggers like you who need your photographs.
I’ve seen a lot of travel blogs put their original shots up for sale on their website.
One example would be Life Part 2, which allows users to buy the photos they took from the locations they visited.
If your blog traffic hasn’t picked up yet, you can also sell your photos on websites like Shutterstock.
Doing so will make your work discoverable to roughly two million Shutterstock users.
8. Audiobooks
What’s the best way to describe an audiobook?
Think eBook, but everything is in audio form.
Their main appeal comes from the fact that people can consume audiobooks without having their eyes glued to the screen.
They can listen to audiobooks while commuting, working out, cooking – you name it.
Just like eBooks, you can sell audiobooks directly from your website. But if you want bigger exposure, you can promote your audiobook through a popular site like Audible.

9. Swipe files
Every now and then, copywriters, authors, and bloggers like us feel like hitting a brick wall.
Those are the times when it feels like writing the next word is the hardest thing in the world.
That’s what swipe files are for. And if you’re willing to share your collection of go-to words and phrases, you can sell them for a price.
What is a swipe file?
In a traditional sense, a swipe file is a collection of written templates like advertising copy, headlines, and sales letters. Nowadays, writers use them for things like English idioms, email subject lines, social media post ideas, and so on.
What makes them different from most eBooks?
The thing about swipe files is, they’re copy-paste-ready content.
There’s no deep and exhaustive discussion about a topic. There’s only pre-written stuff that you can copy or use as inspiration.
Conclusion
Got an idea for your next digital product?
The list above consists of all of the profitable digital products that bloggers can sell. I handpicked them because they’re viable to almost every blogger – regardless of niche and experience.
Now, I’m not saying they’re easy to make.
You still need to invest time, energy, and some capital into creating these products.
But now that you have a clear idea of what to do, you’re already halfway there.
Don’t forget to leave a comment below if you have a question or suggestion. Of course, you’re also free to share your feedback.
Good luck with your first product launch!
