17 Easy Ways to Promote Blog Posts (in 2023)
Nice blog post you got there.
Want to know how to promote it?
Then you’ve come to the right place.
This post is a collection of 17 actionable tips on how to promote your blog for free.
No premium tools, no paid subscriptions, no-nonsense — only clear-cut steps on what to do after publishing an article.
Let’s roll.
1. Share it on Facebook for Easy Traffic
Sharing your post on Facebook for quick exposure is something you can do right now.

For the description, just try to keep it short and talk about the benefits of reading your post.
Statistics show that the best time to post on Facebook is between 11 AM and 1 PM on Wednesdays. Keep this in mind if you want your posts to make the most impact.
How about your Facebook page?
Since you want to establish your brand on Facebook, you should also share your post on your blog’s official page.
Wait — don’t tell me you haven’t configured legit-looking profiles and pages on social networks yet?
Then you’re wasting time.
Luckily for you, creating a more professional Facebook page for your blog only takes minutes.
Facebook’s assisted page creation process should be a breeze to go through. You simply need to fill up the required fields, upload a profile picture, and set a cover photo.

Here are a few reminders when building your blog’s official Facebook page:
- Enter your contact information to encourage prospective leads and influencers to connect with you.
- Use a unique username to make your page easier to find.
- Create a “Learn More” button to send users to your website.
- Tell the story of your brand using the tips found here.
2. Tweet it Out to Stir Social Buzz
When talking about places to promote your blogs, Twitter is always a part of the conversation.
For blog promotion, the steps are similar to posting your content on Facebook.
The catch is, you have to squeeze everything into a 280-character post.
That’s really not a lot — I know. Still, it should be enough for a crisp and clear introduction to your post.

There are also certain posting times that could maximize the visibility of your tweets.
On weekdays, try posting at 9 in the morning on Wednesdays and Fridays. Avoid posting between 10 PM and 4 AM since fewer people check their Twitter feeds for news late at night.
3. Pin it on Pinterest to Convey Your Message Visually
If you’re blogging about recipes, DIY stuff, or anything that can be conveyed better with visual content, you need Pinterest.
A glance at the platform will tell you how other bloggers, marketers, and businesses use the site.

Naturally, you’ll want to use custom visual content if you want to share your content on Pinterest.
No — I’m not suggesting you should shell out cash for a professional graphic designer.
There are plenty of tools like Canva and Piktochart that let you whip up presentable visuals in no time.
Nailing your Pinterest strategy
For your posting schedule, CoSchedule crunched the numbers and determined that around 9 PM is the best time to post. That’s on Fridays and Saturdays when Pinterest users typically sign in to look for informative visual references.
Unfortunately, preparing posts at night is in no way a convenient time, especially right before the weekend.
On the bright side, you can schedule your posts in advance with a tool like Tailwind. It also comes with a handful of useful features, like analytics, bulk uploads, and more.

4. Publish it on LinkedIn to Reach a Professional Audience
The key to successful social media marketing is knowing the right type of content for each site.
This isn’t just because of the way these websites work. It also has something to do with the content preferences of their user bases.
This brings us to LinkedIn — a website for those who want to build their professional network.
It’s the perfect place to share in-depth, data-driven content.
How to promote a blog on LinkedIn
What makes LinkedIn particularly interesting is that it allows you to publish content right on the site. It will then be consolidated into your profile’s “Articles & activity” section.
For the sake of this post, let’s take a look at the profile of Ryan Biddulph of Blogging From Paradise.

Of course, you shouldn’t paste your entire post on LinkedIn. To make sure users visit your website, just provide a teaser while including a link to the full article.
Here’s an example from another LinkedIn profile — this time, owned by Neil Patel himself.

5. Use Instagram to Maximize Visual Content Reach
We’ve already mentioned Pinterest for promoting visual content, but we definitely shouldn’t forget about Instagram.
Other than selfies and photos of food, you can also find infographics, blog banners, and product photos floating around.
You can also repurpose your tweetable quotes into more shareable Instagram posts — just like what HubSpot often does.

Building rapport with your audience with authentic posts
While the tips above will surely help bring traffic to your blog, there’s one thing you should always remember.
If you want to promote your visual content on Instagram, you should throw in a few authentic posts.
I’m talking about your own photos that give followers a glimpse of who you really are.
To give you an idea, here’s a post about a four-hour marketing class I was invited to.

6. Participate in Social Media Groups to Connect with Prospects
It’s one thing to use social media as a regular person your followers can relate to.
But to truly be on your target audience’s radar, you need to actually participate in the community as a user.
Joining social media groups that are related to your niche is a step in the right direction.
Let’s say you’re a travel blogger and would like to mingle with like-minded individuals. On LinkedIn, just type “travel” and select ‘Groups’ from the drop-down menu.

Some social media groups prohibit users from sharing anything that’s self-promotional or salesy.
Don’t worry — it should be relatively easy to find groups that allow the sharing of promotional content.
Regardless, you can still promote your brand by building a killer profile and participating through:
- Answering questions — In every social media group, there are users who need advice and answers to their questions. If you can help them accomplish their objectives, they may voluntarily check out your profile as well as your site.
- Run polls — Some social media networks like Facebook let you run polls in groups. Use this to draw attention and receive useful insights from the community.
- Build your reputation — As you play the role of a contributing member, you should soon be able to gain recognition in any group. Just remain active, be respectful to others, and continue giving value to the group by sharing your knowledge.
7. Reach Potential Leads on Q&A Websites
Social media groups aren’t the only places where you can promote your blog by answering questions.
There are literally Q&A or Question & Answer sites that welcome you to showcase your expertise.
When it comes to Q&A websites, nothing else comes close to Quora — the go-to Q&A platform on the internet today.

But unlike social media networks, promoting your blog content on Quora requires an elaborate strategy. That’s why I put together this guide on how to get traffic from Quora.
Give that post a thorough read when you have the time. It explains everything from creating an eye-catching bio to performing content research.
8. Comment on Authoritative Blogs for Extra Exposure
Once you’re done with social media and Q&A sites, your next target would be other authoritative sites in your niche.
Leaving a link to your blog post for some traffic?
You sure can, but you need to be careful.
The thing is, most bloggers nowadays don’t allow comments with external links. Not only is it an obvious promotion attempt, spammers also take advantage of blog comments and ruin the user experience.
They don’t even try to hide it.

I’m not saying every blog out there would decline a comment that contains links. But if you don’t see any approved comment with a link, your best bet is to just comment naturally.
Invest in a potential relationship between you and the authoritative blogger.
Anyway, if your comment adds value to the post, there’s bound to be readers who’d look up your name online.
It’s worth noting, however, that there are blogs that let you provide links to a specific page. They just don’t want any links to be pasted on the actual comment — like me on Master Blogging.

In which case, readers will be redirected to the URL when they click your name. The only roadblock now is constructing an insightful comment that’s worthy of approval.
For your reference, below are some comments that I personally like to see on my blog.

Here’s a tip: the integrated commenting system on WordPress pulls in user images from Gravatar. It’s a global avatar service that automatically loads a picture based on the user’s email address.
I recommend setting up your Gravatar account for free on their homepage.

9. Share Your Content on Message Boards
In addition to social media, Q&A sites, and other blogs, you can also boost your content’s reach through message boards.
Unlike blogs, message boards are more likely to accept posts that include links.
You can find them on Google using any relevant keyword along with terms like “forums” or “message boards.”
Suppose you’re in the beauty niche and would like to promote your latest skincare routine.
A search query I’d make would be something like:

Value first, link second
Although plenty of forums give you the freedom to post at will, you still need to plan your approach.
A rule of thumb is to write responses that can stand on their own. This means users should be able to learn something without being forced to click an external link.
10. Use Viral Content Bee to Leverage the Social Reach of Other Users
As far as blog promotion goes, everything you’ve learned thus far should be enough to get the ball rolling.
But I won’t let you settle for “should be enough.”
What you need are surefire strategies that are guaranteed to generate traffic.
Using Viral Content Bee to spread your content is one such strategy. It’s kind of like an open marketplace in which social shares are the primary commodity.
Put simply, you earn “credits” by sharing the posts of other users on your social media channels. In exchange, you can use these credits to have your own projects shared by other users — win-win.

11. Start Building an Email List for Long-Term Traffic Value
If you want your blog to grow, you can’t rely on traffic alone.
You should also try to build an email list that can supply your future posts with readers.
Other than getting traffic, an email list is a must-have tool for turning leads into potential customers down the stretch. This will prove to be useful once you finally develop your own products — from online courses to downloadable resources.
To build and manage an email list, bloggers can depend on free email marketing platforms like MailChimp.
It has every tool you need for a comprehensive email marketing campaign. You can easily create signup forms, design landing pages, craft professional newsletters, and more.

What if I don’t like a basic platform?
If you want to go all-in on email marketing, you might want to try Active Campaign.
Some of its features include email segmentation, automation, and split testing for sustainable results.
12. Write an Expert Roundup and Ask Them to Share
I have a question for you.
What if you saw your name mentioned in an article by a different blogger? What is your first reaction?
My first instinct is to share that post right away.
Especially if the title is something like “top bloggers in something” or “best advice from blog experts.”
If you write your own roundup post, you can also encourage other experts to share your post. They might even tell their own followers to pay your blog a visit.
That is, if they liked your topic and the way you described them.
For your reference, here’s a roundup post from Search Engine Journal.

Other titles you can use can be similar to the following:
- Top Blogs to Read for [Your Target Audience]
- [Your Niche] Tips from Industry Experts
- Mistakes You Should Avoid According to [Your Niche] Influencers
How do you inform your prospects about your roundup?
Just send them an email and be upfront about it.
13. Look for Brand Mentions and Engage Users Head-On
For bloggers who already get a decent stream of traffic, people online might be talking about you.
That’s a strong indication that they’re interested in your brand and what you have to offer.
You can look for these mentions and respond with a link to your website. To streamline this task, use a social media listening tool like Hootsuite or set up Google Alerts.
These platforms work by alerting you via email whenever your brand is mentioned online.

Your answers to social media mentions depend, of course, on the context of the post.
For example, if a user is asking a question about you, your job is to step in and introduce yourself. You then cleverly insert a link to any of your blog posts and ask them to check it out.
In some cases, there could be dirty competitors who are spreading false information that could affect your credibility.
Social media listening tools can help you hunt them down so you could set things straight.
Lastly, showing your appreciation to those who share your post is an excellent gesture. This will inspire them to share more of your posts as well as invite others to the fun.

14. Build Relationships with Social Media Influencers
In blogging, the most challenging aspect is expanding your online reach.
If you want to know how to get blog traffic quick, don’t wait for your own online presence to mature.
Make a move right now and leverage the online reach of other people to accelerate yours.
The game plan is simple: introduce yourself via email and keep following up from there.
As your relationship develops, they’ll eventually wind up in your website and share some of your posts.
That’s already a huge win.
It all begins with a blogger outreach campaign. You can also gain exposure for your brand, backlinks for SEO, and maybe some useful insights from your new friend.
15. Use “Ego Bait” to Get Links
Speaking of building relationships with influencers, you can use “ego bait” tactics to really entice them.
For bloggers, an ego boost is something you just can’t pass up.
Besides, you need other people to talk about you in a positive light. That’s how you cultivate a blogging brand that your readers will trust.
A roundup post, which we’ve already covered earlier, is an example of ego bait content. You can also conduct interviews, listicles, and data-driven posts with your prospective influencer as a data source.

If you don’t plan to write an ego bait post, you can set them as examples in your article instead. This should be easy to do, especially if you often read other blogs for inspiration.
That way, you just have to be honest and describe your example based on your own observation.
I do this often to help get my point across to readers.

Giving them a nudge
An ego bait strategy isn’t finished until you notify your prospect about your post.
There’s no need to overcomplicate your message. Talk to them, person-to-person, and mention that you’ve featured them in your content.
If they don’t respond to your initial email, don’t give up too soon. Wait a couple of days before sending a follow-up — they might’ve just missed it.
16. Just Ask Readers to Share
This next strategy should be quite self-explanatory.
From the perspective of readers, sharing something on social media is fair as long as they thoroughly enjoyed the content.
Don’t underestimate the willingness of your loyal readers to do small favors.
If you have confidence in your post’s quality, perhaps all you need to do is ask readers to share it.

17. Save Time by Automating Everything with IFTTT
Finally, promotion tactics can quickly consume hours in a blogger’s busy schedule.
This means less time for meaningful content development tasks, like keyword research and proofreading.
The good news is, you don’t have to execute everything manually.
With an automation platform like IFTTT, these things can be done on autopilot. You just need to activate the right workflow or “applet” that connects to the right services.

For blog promotion purposes, you can refer to this post about the best IFTTT applets. It will teach you how to automate your promotion efforts on websites like Facebook, Twitter, Buffer, and more.

Thanks for your comment.
Another great post Ankit. I usually use Facebook for promoting my posts. It’s a great place to share your posts as most of we people stay on Facebook for most of the times. I will try the other websites also. Thanks a lot for sharing your resources with us mate. 🙂
Hi Ankit,
Nice article, I agree with you about the point you made about Stumbleupon, when share any post on Stumble you get traffic immediately but they disappear with same speed, I think to get real benefit from stumble you have to spend time with them stumbling others post.
G+ communities will be one big source for all bloggers, as it is comparatively new there is huge potential of traffic. Triberr is a good source again need to spend time to get maximum benefit, Inbound does not encourage people posting their own post.
Commenting on places like Mashable does help to get some traffic, but don’t know how targeted they are.
Awesome article bro…
Hello Ankitther
Nice Sharing thanks for that
I’m using mostly Facebook groups for my blog post promoting i also using Google+ and i am getting great results I think Facebook groups are greater opportunity for every blogger to share their blog posts facebook groups giving 60 percent Reff Traffic which is very nice for our blog.

Word of mouth is the best thing to promote your article. Write an article one would like to share 🙂 Mashable lives on the same strategy. I haven’t seen many Mashable articles ranking on Google, still they get million hits.
Ankit, no doubt this is the ultimate list anyone can use to find ways to promote their blog posts.
All the experts mentioned everything right especially Sam
As creating a blog is just a little thing in blogging but main thing we need to do is Blog post promotion. And Kingged.com helps us to drive traffic + Some quality comment which help in getting high rank

Sharing contents in Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Guest Commenting and social relationship with authority bloggers are very important to make your content viral within minutes.
Hey Ankit,
Promoting articles is one of the hardest tasks after crafting content, those who succeed in promoting their content are the kings. You’ve included some nice people in the list.
I feel proud over Sam’s appearance in this roundup post as he is one my best buddies and a great blogger too.
-Siraj Wahid
Indeed it’s so hard to do blog promotion and yet it needs to be done to get us and our works out to our world.
Awwwwh………thanks for your kind words and of course you’ve got a big heart. I really appreciate. 🙂
Sam
This post is a treasure for bloggers like me (the upcoming one’s). Learnt a lot from these top 8 blogger and 9th one ‘YOU’.
Hi Ankit,
Thanks so much for featuring me with a group of top shelf bloggers. I’m digging each point.
One note: CWATC is a my old blog, I just started a new one yesterday. The site bloggingfromparadise(dot)com
Just for your readers to take note of.
Sam’s quoting of Chris Brogan is perfect. Me and Chris had an email chat yesterday. He’s brilliant because he realizes that building personal, 1 to 1 friendships, through careful attention, is the way to promote posts. So the 80% promoting thing is about dead on.
I’m focusing heavily on blogger outreach with my new blog. I may publish 2 to 3 posts a week or one, depending on how much I can connect with fellow bloggers, leave comments and build strong bonds after I’ve written for my freelance clients. Yaro Starak also stresses this point heavily, write a bit, publish a bit, but promote by building bonds with authority leaders, persistently.
Make outreach one of your prime objectives to reap the greatest returns in the long run. Make friends, help, and be genuine, and of course, over deliver whenever you comment or publish a post to make a lasting impact wherever you show up….and to make a bunch of good friends too.
Thanks Ankit, deeply appreciate this. I’ll be tweeting now.
Ryan
Hey uncle Ryan,
I’m glad to see you here and of course read your tips – those were the coolest have read this week. Thanks!
And Chris is the big deal, I was thrilled when I read that in one of his articles. Spot on for sure.
Blogger’s outreach is cool and I have decided to focus more on that, though mine will be in form of Roundup posts, and Experts interviews kind of. What do you think?
Sam
Hi Ankit
Big bravo on doing much hard work and compiling such informative post with variety of views of several awesome bloggers (except me). 🙂
It shows your dedication to offer variety of solutions to promote a blog post.
Stress on blog post promotion reflects the changing trends of blogging. Now competition has stiffened fiercely in blogosphere. Hundreds of top quality posts are produced daily. Google can’t put all of them at the top of a search page. So several best posts get position at lower pages.
So bloggers have alternate support of blog posts promotion with social media and bookmarking sites. They can’t afford to let their posts go unnoticed.
The way you produced the whole post itself is a proof you have deep insight on the topic of blog promotion.
Thanks a lot Ankit for having me into this awesome list
Hey Ankit, it’s finally good to be here again on your famous blog and this time to with being featured on your blog. Thanks for the opportunity! I’m so humbled and honored. 🙂
Speaking of content marketing, like I said with Chris Brogan’s words, success in blogging or perhaps is a 80/20% rule.
Gone are the days when the word build and they will come reign……now, you either share your post by yourself behind those beautiful computer of yours and share the hell out of your post and then cross legs to start harvesting the traffics you’ve hard-workingly sown.
I love those famous words of Helen Keller – that blind, deaf and dumb woman who truthfully uttered, “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.”
You don’t share your posts after publishing? Then don’t expect traffic!
Oh you share but not much, like once or twice? Oh boy! You a first class joker!
How do you then do blog promotion and make your blog go viral?
Well, that’s what these eight(8) indomitable pros have just shared.
Go ahead and bookmark this page, print it or something, just make sure you start implementing the rules thought here today and the sky will only be your starting point of success. 🙂
I sure will see you all at the top!
Oh, thanks a bunch, Ankit for believing me and giving me a distinctive opportunity to share my little take con “Content Promotion/Marketing”. I really do appreciate it man! 😀
Sam
Very good article it’s rare to see such indepth articles now a days and you did fantastic job to let us know some of the best kept secrets by big bloggers
Ankit,
These are some great suggestions from great authority bloggers. I have been following a couple of these but not I have more to follow. Right now I am commenting on blogs but I see there are so many other options. I think the key is consistency and to master at least one or two of these suggestions before moving on to others. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Nathaniel, surely it takes time in getting the desired results and consistency is needed to reach your goal.
We must look for multiple places to share blog posts and stick to them from where we get great results.
Ankit,
This would be one of the best lists of strategies to promoting blog posts.
Simple, Clear and concise.
Keep up the good work!
Hi Atish,
Thanks a lot bro for sharing your best strategies with me and my readers. They all are very useful and working methods to promote a blog post.
Also thanks for mentioning this post in your blog post. Very much appreciated.
Ankit, very interesting to see it takes the 80/20 and that that the 80% is on promotion and not writing blog posts.
Wow. I was starting to think that but after reading all the advice by these awesome bloggers it appears to be true. I don’t know how Ryan does it all, by writing daily and all that promotion along the way. I couldn’t believe he had over 3,000 posts on one blog alone!
Thanks for sharing all of these with us and for taking the time to interview them. I know this post wasn’t a quick one to do.
Hi Lisa,
Surely it took a lot of time in compiling this guide but it’s great that finally it’s ready and helping so many bloggers.
Ryan is a blogging machine and I really want to know what’s his fuel 😛
Thanks for your comment, Lisa!

And speaking bout Ryan, you might know about what fuels his passion for writing that much has my interview with him will be live anytime soon.
Sam
Hey Ankit learnt lot of things from this post.. Ryan’s point to write depth posts which are very informative is really a very good idea. Atish Ranjan is my very good friend and he helps me out many times, am happy to see that he has shared his knowledge in this post. Nirmala’s point that it is very necessary to include keywords in the right places in an article shall prove very helpful for many bloggers.. Other bloggers also have provided very good info in this post…Hoping to read more tips on your blog..
Hi Mohit, thanks for liking the article.

Hey Ankit,
This is a great list with so many great tricks and tips inside it. All these tricks and tips are useful.
All tips given by all bloggers are great and each blogger has their different approach towards promoting a blog post. It will help many newbie bloggers to plan their new blog promotion strategy by taking a good suggestion which works for them.
Thank you for sharing this great post. 😉
Absolutely true Nikhil.
All these methods of promoting a blog post are just awesome and even a newbie can follow them with ease. No paid promotion needed to target your right audience.
I am glad to learn the following from this post ( not mentioning the names of people)
1. Golden Rule – Promoting authority bloggers aggressively is a quick, easy and painless route.
2. comment/content – Treat comment like content and go for indepth comprehensive commenting to add value.
3. Tools – Buffer, Do share, justretweet – i have not used buffer and do share.
4. Every blog has a self promotion ability .
5. Write comments on comments luv enabled blogs( learnt how to find such blogs).
6. share other’s blog posts – absolutely valid
7. Kingged.com – i have heard about it but not tried, will explore.
I read only one mention of social bookmarking, which as per me is also a great way to market the content. It is actually a long drawn process, if promoted to wrong audience, it backfires. well if you build relations and participate in the community, it can help to get traffic. thanks.
Hi Harish,
Good intake mate. Implement these points in your blogging and surely you’ll get great results.
Writing frequently, quality content, promoting others and adding value to communities all are the best practices that every blogger must follow to get success.
I wish you luck!
~Ankit
Hey Bali, be sure to try all this things and the sky will sure be your starting point. And you think you’re making money before? It will tripple with kingged.com
wow! It is a great thing seeing most of the gurus in the blogosphere sharing their thoughts. I read with lots of interest and one thing is clear, I see promoting content is a major thing to do as a blogger.
I once read a quote which went something like this,’Doing business without advertising is like doing standing in the dark and winking at a girl. You know what you’re doing but no one else sees it’.
I love the insights you guys shared. Keep it up!
Haha! Very nice quote Emmanuel.
It’s absolutely true that without promoting your content, it looks like you are writing for no one.

One more thing i would like to ask you Ankit,
Is it good to have some autoposter tools for social media ?
Please let me know
Automation tools are good to use but you must understand that your followers should not feel you like a spammer.
Make use of Automation tools only to schedule quality posts that would be really useful for your followers.

Hi Ankit,
I have finally arrived and I can see you doing awesome job here, though this blog is not strange to me, I was able to use the logo to identify that I have been here before.
On the topic of discussion that you brought to us, one thing I will say here is that the experts have spoken and we have no choice than to take their words pertaining blog post promotion.
It will definitely be errors or mistakes on bloggers part to create blog posts and just leaving them on their blog to lie idle without taking them outside. For a bog post to go far, you definitely need to take them to the front of your audience.
It is just like going either staying at home or going out. It is when you go out that you will meet or see new faces, but when you are inside the home, you barely see or interact with many people.
Time for true confession Ankit, from the summaries you gave at the bottom of the post, I want to say that I am guilty of the first one, even-though I try to promote others posts, I don’t do it aggressively the way I like doing mine. So I think I will also start being aggressive on the way I treat other bloggers post so the Kamer law will also return back to me.
Thank you very much for this wonderful piece, I know I learnt something from it.
Hi Ankit,
I’m new to the site and I’m glad I found it.
While my blog is only 2 months old, I’m gaining huge traction following several recommendations of your experts.
For one, I try to post comments on five to ten blogs or more per day, I am very active on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and several blog directories have been huge for me.
The best one to date has been Kingged.com. In fact, Kingsley, the site owner, has been very gracious with me and written several kind posts on my website on his site. Through it I’ve connected with several influential bloggers who have made a huge difference for me. I also connected with Mi Muba there and I’m enjoying getting to know him.
Just the other day I changed up our website and added the RSS feed and the ability to subscribe to email to get every blog article within 24 hours after it’s published.
The takeaways or areas of emphasis for me is the 80/20 principle shared by Sam. I’m spending several hours per day marketing my article. It’s hard work, but I’m loving the results thus far.
I will be sharing this article and I look forward to engaging with more of your content. I’m booking marking your page.
Thanks,
Don Purdum
PS I did find this article on Kingged.com
Hey boss, it’s nice to see you here and I’m glad you bought that 80/20 rule. It’s one thing I learned from reading Chris Brogan’s blog.
I love the quality of your comments, so graceful and invaluable.
Sam
Hi Ankit,
Nowadays, SEO is important factor to promote your blog because to drive organic traffic optimized blogging essential.
This article is a bunch of great information shared by the experts to promote your blog post.
I appreciated the opinion of Kulwant Negi who give importance to build relationship with readers via subscriptions or emails. This is true because if your website having great subscriber list then automatically you have readers for your blog.
I agree with opinion of Mi Muba i.e. nowadays for blog promotion primary is Off-page SEO and then secondary On-page SEO.
Overall article fulfills the expectations of readers who expecting something special feed. Thanks for sharing such a valuable tips. I found this article on kingged.com……..!!!
Your list trumps most of the ones I’ve seen. It’s crazy how content marketing can be your number one challenge or your number one success. However, you showed us great ways to tie both together. Content marketing plus Social sharing. I think that promoting a blog post should take at least the same amount of time or more than creating the content itself.
Some insights from the great bloggers around the web. Blog Commenting is indeed the best thing to get the post indexed fast in search engines and also for some traffic love back to the post.
Social media can’t be ignored, but it works only with an intriguing image. The strategy of promotion differs from person to person, but the some key things remain the same.
The best way is to work on building the audience and authority and then everything flows like a river. Got to learn nice things today. Thanks.
Wow Ankit!
This is such an epic and helpful post! Roundups of experts I must say with their own genuine takes regarding what is content marketing or Promoting Blog.
They have dissimilar advises in view of the fact that they have diverse experiences. They lend us helpful ideas how to endorse a blog, what it needs to promote a blog and what should be your way of thinking to promote a blog efficiently.
There are no shortcuts, only smart strategies.
I have shared this comment in the content syndication and social bookmarking and networking website for Internet marketers – kingged.com where this post was found.
Hello Ankit,
This is a Marvelous Masterpiece! All the Well known bloggers Sharing their Blog promoting techniques is far better than that crappy 500 word guides.
Only Social media promotion is not going to increase your Blog’s Brand name. You’ve to Do another many things too. Atish ranjan from Techtricksworld shared great tips with us. We must say thanks to him.
Anyways, Thank you Ankit for creating this Wonderful Post!
Have a Nice Day Ahead!
Thansk Swaraj but not only me but all the bloggers listed in this blog post have shared their best strategies. :-). Good to see you here.
Hi Ankit,
Wow!Here is a collection of great tips by top bloggers. This is the thing which i was searching from a long time.I should now follow these tips to promote my blog posts.Anyway thanks for sharing.
Regards,
Abdul Ghani.
excellent job.gathering all the views of successful bloggers and placing them at one place great idea, first i have to appreciate for that.being a new blogger these will helps me a lot to promote my blog and increase traffic to my blog.thanks a lot for your post..
It is a way to go, though I think that Facebook groups barely can bring any traffic, but it is not very time consuming task. I get quite a lot of traffic from LinkedIn groups and Google Plus communities, though majority of G+ doesn’t allow links.
That was a nice article. But I think besides using the social networking sites to post the content of your blog ,you can also the post the content of other bloggers(not too much) and build a social relaionship with the other bloggers. This would also bulid a faith among the readers about the quality of the content you share.
Thank you
Hy Ankit,
First of all The Title of this article is great and eye catching Too.
The content is also great for sharing post. I personally share my post on Facebook groups, blogging communities, Google plus communities and also on various social bookmarking sites like stumbleupon etc. I also hear that Reddit is the best source to drive traffic and audience but i don’t know how to use this perfectly to attract visitors, so can you please add a article regarding this?
Thanks for the article .Those techniques really work. Thanks again for sharing the communities.
Hi Ankit,
I read this article like reading my own article because I also did it all. But indeed, it seems I still have not been up in using Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+ groups or blogging community.
I’m glad you wrote an article about this because it’s like convinced me that it’s the right way to do and just needs to be maximized. 🙂
Thanks for sharing this with us, Ankit.
Nice share, indeed!
Nanda
This is a fantastic post. Content marketing is not such a complicated thing as people normally interpret. Getting to know fellow blogger’s take on this was great. Thank you for sharing this.
nice friend …..
very nice article to increase traffic by social media. Normally i am using facebook as compare to others. i think facebook will give you more traffic as compare to others.
Thank you so much for this valuable article.
Dear Ankit,
You are sharing excellent info…thanks….I too learnt alot from this blog…Keep posting more info….
Glad, you liked the content. Keep reading more interesting articles. 🙂
Hello Ankit,
Thank you for your post. I basically use 2 simple trick to attract new visitors.
First , I use social media and social networks like Facebook, Twitter etc and other social bookmarking site to promote my newly published posts and want to drive traffic from some popular sites.
Secondly, I use blog commenting on my niche sites like bloggertipstricks Blog here. I think both this method work perfectly fine for me and I get enormous visitors from these two ways alone which help me earn decent amount of revenue and energize me to write even more.
The thing I am missing is writing regularly. This is really killing me. I think I should at least give one or two hours everyday for new articles on my blog
Best Regards
Muminur

Hi Ankit,
I see like as Sam Adeyinka many people do comment on blog daily to promote their content. It’s good. Sam Adeyinka comment 20 comment daily where he said he does not care Nofollow or Dofollow! I also think it is good to comment on high traffic sites and if we get first place comment then there is more traffic!
However, thanks for introducing these expert bloggers with us. Surely going to read their blog soon!
Have a nice day!

Nikhil
You have to be well known in the field as “Kulwant Nagi” said with use of different resources need to be a large readership for the positive results. Thanks sharing the expert reviews, quite helpful these are.
Yes, Quara is the best place to gain regular traffic.
Thank you Ankit for your article!
I was looking for some gems and I definitely found one!
I have never thought about exploring SlideShare – will do now 🙂
Thank you once again!
Bartosz
That’s a fabulous post on traffic generation. Thinking of referring it on my next post.
I have a question though. Is it necessary to jump on every platform or community and every strategy to build traffic at a time? I know more is better but not all bloggers have the time to promote their posts in the numerous possible ways. I think focusing on a few platforms based on the kind of readers a blog requires is a better deal. What do you say?
Hello Ankit,
First time commenting here but been visiting your blog from awhile! 🙂
I LIKED all the mentioned points. I use just a few and they are working good for me. To increase my reach more, I should be using all of them for sure.
Thanks for the pointing out the working methods you’ve been applying! 🙂
See me often!
~ Adeel

Hey Ankit,
Useful post mate. I was planning a strategy for content promotion and was realizing that its equally important to spend time on content promotion, rather than just publishing the content and not focusing on its promotion.
I was searching for some new channels where I can share the content after I Hit the Publish button. Although, most of the option I am already using but the social bookmarking sites you have mentioned here are what I know but I am not using them.
I’ll be trying my hand on some of them, building new profiles, connecting with other marketers there and promoting the content. Lets see how it works.
Hi Ankit,
Excellent post once again bro. I am sure the views and experience shared by these established bloggers will benefit many in their blogging journey ahead.
Cheers!
Gaurav Jain
I’ve stopped sharing my articles on social media and rather I use Ello only to share my posts. Is that really good platform?
Hi Ankit
Thanks for your article, I’ve got a question, do you have any experience with Arabic contents, Advertising and SEO?
well my question is that when you share an Arabic article or any other languages other who use something else than Latin alphabets on social networks, the links turn into a massive code like:
example .com/awd57ad5adaf58a8fa%aw4a4 bla bla bla
Do you think it would effect your SEO ? should i use short links like wp.me?
Thanks Ankit For This Awesome Post That You Shared. But In Now Days DoSplash Don’t Accept New Registration Anymore And Kingged Not Support Submitter From India.Overall All You Mentioned Method Works Well For Me To Increase Visitors On My Blog.
Thanks for this awesome list of many places to share my blog posts. I used some of them and will use some of them. Thanks for suggesting this awesome list.
Also, have you tried ViralContent Bee? This helps to gain lots of social engagement and traffic to the posts. This also increases social media authority of our accounts. I am not related to this company, I just wanted to share my experience. Anyways, very very thanks for sharing.
One cool site to promote your posts is Landesy (landesy.com). Not many people know this site but is a nice community of bloggers that share links to their posts. I ‘ve been posting some links and is pretty good, not getting loads of traffic but the little traffic is very interested in my content.

If you are not using Quora, you should try it today.
The (unwritten) “rules” of posting content tend to change over the course of time if I’m not wrong. Moreover, it also depends on what geographic location you are targeting for getting traffic. But that very first tip topmost in the very first entry about that timing is a bit amusing. I read that related article too and found that it’s only about posting even if it’s something like FB. When you do it, is also that important.
Thanks, Ankit for that tip. It’s giving me a great feeling!
Hello Ankit…..
It’s very helpful…
But…
I publish regular posts on QnA websites, but no traffic. What to do so that traffic comes from qoura and other QnA websites. What type of keyword should I write a post on.
Will it also have to do keyword research.
Thanks

This is my sincere and honest appreciation for your efforts. I have started blogging for the last six months and not find any better guide than you.
The information is crystal clear and easy to comprehend and the best part easy to execute.
