        1. Ankit Singla says:

Hi Jaydev, at that time I was talking about MyBloggerTricks.com (MBT).

  3. Nitin Maurya says:

Very nice and detailed guide and its a great advisable post for mostly all beginners from where and how to come up with new posts!

I don’t remember your blog post in which you had told about driving traffic from Yahoo Answer and it really works.

Adding something from my side to this post. If someone is not getting ideas about what to write then one must go to Yahoo Answers and check what people are asking there and post articles to solve their problems and then share links there.

  4. Vipin Pandey says:

    Nice awesome post Ankit..

Most of bloggers struggle very hard to get post idea. It will help them.

One tip I want to share what I use, create a Post Idea document in Google Docs, prepare list of your favorite blogs which are under your niche, browse randomly what you got just write it in the Post Idea doc.
By using Google Doc it will available to you everywhere. Next time when you think to post something .. look into this doc.

    Thanks 🙂

Your article is really good, new bloggers going to love this article it will help a lot and your writing part is too good.

I like the point number 3 as you said replying to comments get a regular reader and i think you have taken the advantage of that. from that site.

I disagree with your 2 points getting post idea from YouTube as in YouTube there are limited number of videos related to blogging. From there you can take a post idea if there is very less videos related to blogging.??? Youtube is not popular for blogging Tips .

1 point you can add i think this might be funny one, talking about nonsense things then also you can get the post idea. What you think about this ??

  40. Hello Ankit,
Your article speaks volume of creating ideas from existing content. Using #Infographics and #Quora are two beneficial methods which will not only bring traffic, but at the same time link juice. Having the right heading for your article can also put your article high in Google search rankings.

Your ideas are good. The only thing when using Quora, is that the content should not be duplicate, otherwise, you will not have any value.

Once again, a rich article on link building. 🙂

  61. Hi Ankit,

Thank you so much for adding your voice to this topic. Sometime last two months, I published a similar topic like this.

Getting blog post ideas have become so easy these days, especially when we pay rapt attention to comments on different blogs in our niche.

One of the unique strategies you mentioned which I will be considering soon is expert roundup post.

Thank you so much for sharing.

  62. Siddharth Pal says:

Really amazing and very helpful article.

    1. Ankit Singla says:

      Thanks, Siddharth 🙂

  63. Istiak Rayhan says:

Epic post. Loved all the points.

    Here’s one more idea.

Use Search Console To Get Blog Post Ideas.

If you check Google Search Console frequently (at least, once in a week), you will find some Keywords for which you are not ranking and you don’t have detailed blog posts for those keywords.

If the keywords are getting a good amount of views, you can consider writing blog posts by targeting those keywords.

The great thing is, you will get the ranks quickly.

I have tried it. It worked great for me.

    One more thing.

Don’t create too many similar types of posts just to follow this idea. Rather try to cover several topics on a single blog post.

    1. Ankit Singla says:

Great idea, Istiak. Going to implement it. 😀

  64. Pijush Kanti Dey says:

    1. Ankit Singla says:

      Hi Piyush,

Thank you for reading my blog.

Hope you’ll give your love to MasterBlogging as well. 🙂

  65. Hi Ankit,

Amazing post. Learned lots of new tools and ways to find new blog post ideas. I loved the Linkbait Title Generator, looking forward to checking it out.

However, I would like to add one more way to find new blog post ideas, that is: keep an eye on what problems your audience is facing, I often find my students struggling with some common questions, that’s a nice signal. Because your students need content with the solution to that question.

While this may not be applicable to everyone especially if you are new to blogging and don’t have a reader base. But you can certainly look into online forums or sites like Quora to find such user’s requirement and create content around that – something you have already mentioned.

    Rahul D

    1. Ankit Singla says:

      That’s a nice suggestion, Rahul.

As you know we have our own facebook community, I utilise it to a lot to find the most common problems and try to solve them either in the community itself or through my blog posts. This blog post is one of them. 😀

Glad you liked it and thanks for your comment.

  66. Super detailed post Ankit.

Been a reader of your blog posts from your other blog, can you share some tips on process of starting a blog and things required.

i am not looking for info like choose hosting etc but a process of system pro bloggers use.

    1. Ankit Singla says:

      Hi Heeren,

Thanks for being a royal reader of my blog/blogs.

The system is simple, create useful content, promote it as much as you can, drive traffic and build your own audience like email list, social followers, push notification subscribers, facebook community etc. and keep delivering massive value to them. Once you start generating revenue, run PPC ads to boost your funnels. That’s all I do. Hope it will help. 🙂

        1. Ankit Singla says:

          You’re welcome, Hiren.

  67. Amarnath Palakala says:

    Hi Ankit,

This is an awesome blog post. In Love with it. Thanks, Ankit.

I am actually looking for the best article for how to start writing articles(especially for newbies) – where to start, how to start. I have read some articles which say “start to write daily on a book at least 500 words”.

Also, how can we generate this long content? It’s easy to write 800 words article. But as I see, these days 2000+ words quality articles rank on top(even links matter).

Also, can I know what font do you use in this blog?

Font is superb for the users.

Can you put a tool list you use for this blog?

I like the banner on the top of every post.

I will be very thankful if you can take your time and answer my silly questions.

    1. Ankit Singla says:

      Hi Amarnath,

      Glad you liked this article.

To learn how we should write articles, I suggest you download my content templates (provided in this article) and read them. You’ll get pretty much everything you need to know.

It’s easy to write such long articles if you have knowledge about the topic and passion to write helpful content. Just research well, make outlines and start filling the content.

      Font: Muli, sans-serif

Will soon add a tools list. Kindly wait.

That banner is through my theme’s (GeneratePress) feature.

Nothing is silly if we are willing to learn. Glad I could answer all your questions. Keep coming! 🙂

  68. Niranjan Upadhyaya says:

Congratulations for such detailed article, its all time useful.
Shall we include this in our Digital marketing journal site?

  69. Great addition as always.
I like the way you write.

Thanks a lot for the ideas.

  70. Rahul Madakatti says:

    Great Post Ankit,
I would like to highlight on Quora for blog post and Traffic.
It can be achieved by using Ahrefs or Semrush.
Firstly go to any one of the tools. Enter quora.com or any other sites, forum etc.

e.g., In this case, we will use Ahrefs Tool
    1) Go to organic keywords
    2) Add a filter with the max position of 5-10
    3) And include your niche keywords
    4) Sort by traffic

This will bring out amazing blog post ideas with Search traffic.
Now you can create a blog post and promote it on Quora to get search traffic Instantly.

This method not only able to find the blog post ideas but also helps you to get targeted search engine traffic and helps your post to get indexed and Rank faster.

    1. Ankit Singla says:

Smart idea, Rahul. I use this method for keyword research. We can take this method one step further.

When you find Quora’s top keywords, look for other sites that are ranking for that keyword. Make a list of relevant sites (your niche related) and spy their keywords and backlinks. You’ll have endless list of keywords and backlink opportunities.

It may be difficult to understand for starters, so I’ll write a blog post about it soon.

Thanks for sharing your idea here.

  71. Hey Ankit,

We can also come up with blog post ideas by understanding what our customers would want for B2B blogs , what kind of questions clients/prospects are asking our sales team.

One more topic can be sharing our learnings about a tool/software like how to use a tool which is useful in your niche.

and ofcourse little bit of spying on competitors popular content 🙂

if they have blog what their readers are commenting or if they are asking questions etc..

Just sharing my ideas for B2B blogs

    1. Ankit Singla says:

Great ideas, Heeren. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

  78. Ravi bhati says:

Thanks Ankit for writing and sharing this post.

I learned a lot from the different ways to generate Idea for your blog post.

After reading this post I came up with many different ideas for my tech blog I am going to start.

Google search console, Ubersuggest, Buzzsumo, Semrush, Feedly, Quora, etc are a great to find new ideas for any niche.

I will definitely use this post every time I struggle to find any new topics.

This detail post helps user to come up with fresh and less competitive niche and topics.

    Thanks and keep creating.

  79. Prerit Modi says:

Great sir, I have learned a lot from this, and now I am going to apply method#4,5 and 6 first, and I want to request you that it would be great if you provide a pdf of it.

  80. Hey Ankit,

This is a fantastic article. I wish I read this before doing my keyword research. Even though I used more than 20+ methods, I think I could have done it better.

I would not have believed that you can get ideas from blog comments. But it happened for me. One reader left 2 insightful comments and requested me to write on a topic that I had earlier decided not to write on.

Besides the valuable methods what you mentioned, these also helped me. I thought I will share them with you.

    1) MarketMuse: I heard about it from one of Neil Patel’s blog (or webinar). It is an AI powered tool that analyses your article and suggests topics that can be included. I actually added few topics after analysing my content using it. This made my article comprehensive.

    2) I learnt how to analyze keywords using Nathan Gotch’s SERP analysis method. He has this 10 seconds competition analysis to decide whether to go after keywords or not. I found it very useful.

I also have few questions. Hope you can help out a newbie:

    1. For paid tools such as SEMRush and Ahrefs, what do you suggest for newbies who can’t afford to buy the tools? I mean, how to best utilize the free trial period (or paid 7-day trial in Ahrefs) for keyword search? I know there is no straight answer, but most SEO gurus mention these tools. For a beginner like me, it is difficult.

I guess I will stick to the free tools for now. But just wanted to know your thoughts.

    2. For some Long tail key words my website is appearing in 3rd page in Google search. I get some traffic from organic search, but unfortunately, neither Jetpack nor GA gives the exact search term. How do we find which search term was used? and

    3. What should I do to move from 3rd page to 1st? Using the 10-second method according to Gotch (that I mentioned above), the DA of competition is quite low. So I think I have a chance, but no idea how to do it. I am only 3 months into blogging, so I am still a newbie. I try to read up as much as I can and implement them.

Any pointers from you would be very helpful. Many thanks for reading patiently.

The lore you posted is really fascinating. I was shocked after reading your post. I thought blogging is very simple with basic steps.
You gave me a clear knowledge of blogging. I haven’t seen any post with a brief explanation included with screenshots.
Each and every topic is undarkened. Is there any other sites available for blog topics other than HubSpot and tweet.
